Tap & Toilet Repairs and Installation

Dripping taps, running toilets, new tapware and mixers — the small jobs done properly and on time.

These are the jobs people put off, and they are the ones quietly costing you money. A tap dripping once a second wastes thousands of litres a year. A toilet with a failed inlet valve can silently run through far more than that, and you will only notice it on the bill.

Most of it is a straightforward fix — new washers, a cartridge, an inlet or outlet valve. Where a tap body itself is worn past the point of re-seating, I will say so rather than charge you to keep replacing washers on a fitting that will not hold them.

I also install new tapware throughout the house. If you have bought your own mixers or a new toilet suite, I am happy to install them, and I will tell you honestly if what you have chosen is going to suit your water pressure before I fit it.

Taps, Toilets & Tapware

Common questions

Can I supply my own tapware?

Absolutely. One thing to check before you buy: it must carry a WaterMark certification to be legal to install in Australia, and my workmanship warranty covers my installation rather than the fitting itself. Send me a photo or a link before you order and I will tell you if it will work with your setup.

My toilet keeps running — is that worth fixing?

Very much so. A continuously running cistern can waste more water than the rest of the household combined, and the fix is usually an inexpensive valve replacement that pays for itself inside a billing cycle.
