Gas work is not DIY territory and it is not general handyman territory either. It legally requires a licensed gas fitter, and for good reason — a bad connection or an undersized line is a genuine safety risk to your household.
I install and connect cooktops, ovens, gas heaters, hot water units and outdoor BBQ points, run new gas lines, and carry out leak testing on existing installations. Every job is tested and certified on completion, and you receive the compliance certificate for your records.

Do I get a certificate for gas work?
Yes. Licensed gas work comes with a compliance certificate, and you should insist on one from any gas fitter. Keep it — you will want it for insurance, and for the buyer when you sell the property.
Can you install a cooktop I bought myself?
Yes, provided it is approved for sale in Australia and suits the gas type at your property — natural gas and LPG appliances are not interchangeable without a conversion kit. Send me the model number and I will confirm before the day.
