Blocked Drain Clearing in Caroline Springs

Sinks, toilets, showers and sewer lines cleared properly — with a camera down the drain to find out why it blocked.

Anyone can push a blockage through and call it done. The problem comes back a few months later because nobody worked out what caused it — usually tree roots, a cracked pipe, a sagging section of line, or years of fat and soap build-up.

I clear the blockage first so you have your drains back, then put a CCTV camera down the line so we both know what we are dealing with. You see the footage yourself. If the pipe is sound, you have peace of mind. If there is a root intrusion or a broken section, you get a proper repair quote instead of an annual unblocking bill.

Older homes around the western suburbs often still have clay sewer pipes with rubber-ring joints — a magnet for roots from the street trees. Newer estates like Caroline Springs and Burnside are mostly PVC, where the culprit is more often wipes, fat or a collapsed section from ground movement.

Give me a call if you notice

  • Water draining away slowly, or gurgling as it goes
  • A gurgle from the shower or floor waste when the toilet flushes
  • Bad smells from drains or from the yard
  • Water rising in the shower when the washing machine empties
  • An overflow relief gully outside the house spilling over

Blocked Drains

Common questions

Will jetting damage my pipes?

Not when the pressure is matched to the pipe. That is exactly why I camera the line — so I know what material and condition the pipe is in before choosing the nozzle and pressure. On a pipe already broken, jetting is the wrong tool and I will tell you so rather than making it worse.

Why does the same drain keep blocking?

Nearly always because something structural is wrong — tree roots getting in through a joint, a cracked or collapsed section, or a length of pipe with a belly in it holding water. Clearing it treats the symptom. The camera finds the cause.

Who pays if the blockage is in the street?

If the blockage is on the water authority’s side of the connection point it is their responsibility, not yours. The camera inspection shows where the problem sits, which is what you need to make that case.
